Just getting thru our first year. Does everyone stay open for Easter?

I think that some people (especially unattended) keep their stores open on Easter Sunday. Personally we close for all major holidays - New Years, Easter, Memorial, 4th of July, Labor day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Open half days on Christmas and New Years eve. None of my employees want to work holidays, and I certainly don't want to get called in for whatever. Hey, I'm open everyday, seven days a week, 14 hours a day, 357 days a year. If a customer absolutly has to wash clothes on a holiday - good luck finding something open.

I think it depends on your location. My stores never close.
If a small town then everyone expects stores to be closed on holidays.
Remember, not everyone is a christian, so people do go about thier business everyday.

We run attended and will be open. Hoiday's like Labor Day and Easter were some
of our biggest money making days in previous years. We get a lot of overflow from
closed mats and pick-up a new customer every now and then. We run 4hour shifts
so our employees don't get stuck. If someone wants more hours we give it to them.
