I am very close to pulling the trigger on a new store (my 1st laundry) and have been working with several distributors. The two we like best represent Continental and Dexter. I already own a carwash and will probably be doing most of the repairs myself. Price and Service aside; which are better machines for the long run? Thanks in advance for your input.

Go with Wascomat for the long run. I just retooled a store I bought and replaced some old Wascomats - they were 32 years old and still functioning!

A lot of owners like Dexter, especially if the store is unattended. It's probably the second runner up to Wascomat.

Look closely at what your customers will see, such as the door, soapbox and cycle choices. Maintenance aside, these are the things that matter to your customers. Have you gone to a laundry that has these machines and used them yourself? That will really help make up your mind.

One factoid: Dexter has the strongest spin in the standard hardmount washers out there. Continental is one of the slowest.

Continental dryers are made by Dexter.

Peter,
Please include the 'factiods' for Maytag. How do they compare?

Maytag hardmounts are made by Primus. When comparing facts, they are in the middle - not the biggest or fastest, but certainly not the smallest or slowest.
