Hi. Im about to take on a laundrette next week (wish me luck!) and Im starting off by offering a month long special deal on laundering quilts and doonas as it is coming into the colder months here in Australia.

I know some types of quilts etc need to be dry cleaned but Im wondering if any experienced laundrette owners out there have any tips or suggestions for me regarding the ones that can be machine washed / dried.

By the way, I think this site is sensational and its already helped me enormously in getting ready to start business. Ill be a regular reader and contributor.

thanks and have a great day!

Welcome aboard Mick! Doing quilts and comforters is a nice size part of our WDf business. We usually leave it up
to the customers as to whether it should be dry cleaned or washed/dried. If the customer is unsure, we check the
"instruction tag". If there is no tag the customer makes the ultimate decision which we note on their invoice. In
all cases we have the customer sign an invoice signature line which says we are not responsible for things that
can go wrong (unless we make an obvious mistake). Look forward to your contributions and GOOD LUCK!
