I'm not crazy about this whole illegal alien thing (remember when we called them aliens? Not politically correct anymore). I feel like we are being overrun.

We need immigrants, but it needs to be controlled and we need to know who is coming. The left can't even agree on this.

Can we really place blame on the left or the right on this issue? I know the left is causing the issue now, but how did we get here?

Both sides have chosen to ignore this issue for way too long, which is why we are in this situation to begin with. We pay our government officials to work together to come to decisions that will have a positive impact on our society as a whole. If both the right and the left can't make that happen, then they should all be viewed as guilty. We have one government. It's a copout to place blame and point fingers, which is all our politicians...the representatives of "the people" ever do. These are professionals. Adults. Elected officials. If this type of thing happened within the private sector, the c*ck-blockers would be fired without question.

They should all be held accountable...not just one side. Our government could use a thorough cleaning of the old school political machine that does nothing but line its own pockets and look out for its own interests.

Please note, I'm not a political person, just an observer of a profession that seemingly has very little impact on my personal life despite the fact that it is supposed to.

I don't know how many illegals use or use to use (3 uses in 5 words :) ) my mat but I think some of my financial issues are due to the fact that they are leaving the state. My mat is about 65-75 miles north of "the corridor". However, no amount of revenue loss would make me change my feelings about illegals. They have ruined this state and IMO, they can't leave fast enough.
