View Full Version : Question for Petefritz
You had posted that you use 'marine stainless steel wax or polish' for your front loaders. What brand have you found to be the best? Do you recommed the wax or the polish.
Thanks in advance!

Okay, so I'm not Pete but I can't resist snooping on other people's conversations.
You don't want to use waxes or polishes - they're a pain and the costs add up quickly too. What you want to use is something like www.magicloth.com (http://www.magicloth.com) (it's a microfiber and does a great job cleaning the stainless steel front loaders).

Hi Kari - We have been using "Shelia Shine" on a weekly basis. For general everyday
use/clean-up we use vinegar/water and clean cloth ~ it's in-expensive and effective.

Doesn't WD-40 leave a residue on clothes if people rub against it? I guess not if you use it a lot......just wondering.

You did answer your own question. I assume the same, however it is basically buffed off and we have never had a complaint.

Thanks to everyone else for the answers. We all have our ways.
Shelia Shine, to much work, W-D 40 smells and leaves residue
I like boat wax, marine stainless polish, becuase it is not hard to use and becuase I can buy it and write it off and still use it on my boat. No really, marine enviroment is tough, so most marine products are heavy duty type, and more expensive. I have no particular brand I like.
