Hey, do you want to go to a hot laundromat in a hot summer ? If you can answer this question, then you know the answer already.

If you have A/C and it is hot, turn it on. We have several laundromats that are in walking distance from
us and we often hear from new customers that they left the other laundromat because it was too hot
(they have no A/C).

I live on the sun's surface (phoenix) and don't have air conditioning (have evap coolers instead). I really don't want to imagine what my electric bill would look like if I put in A/C.

I have two A/C units on the roof and have the first one to kick on at 78 and the next at 85. I also have 3 ceiling fans that help keep it cool.
As for utilities, gas consumption goes down from the winter and the electric bill goes up in the summer.
By the amount of customers I am getting from the non A/C mats in my town I would say that the little extra cost to run the A/C is definitely worth it.
Customers are creatures of habit and if you can get a few more customers to start using your mat because it is air conditioned, chances are they will keep coming back even during the winter time.
