I am considering selling my laundromat. Is there value in using a Broker or would I be able to list the laundry myself effectively. What should a Broker's commission be?

Thank you

If you are not already sure you could market the store by yourself, then it may be a good idea to talk to a few laundry brokers to get their opinion of the market and value. There is a small landslide of details that must be considered when selling, and a broker can help bring them to the surface. They will quote a % or price to sell, and depending on the size of the sale, there is usually room to negotiate.

I posted mine up on Craigslist just to test the waters. I got 6 inquiries in the 45 day run. Only 2 asked for financial's. I did have 1 broker contact me from the ad. I am going to contact a broker here soon and go that route. When I bought my place the seller had a broker and he charged the seller $10K for the sale.
