anyone have any helpful, or stress relief on Eminent domain. I purchased a store in march 2008, which i dont own the real estate.
Sites on the internet talk bout being compensated for, loss of business, moving cost, and relocation expenses. And than some also talk bout loss of goodwill from a location. This store has been on its location since the 1960's.
So if anyone has been hit with this before please shine some light on this.

Wouldn't the terms of your lease spell out your remedies and relief? At least it's a good place to start. If you're not the property owner, I don't believe you have any claim against whomever is taking over the property... the property owner should be compensated, etc... Your recourse is then with the property owner if you or he can't fulfill the terms of your lease.
