I would suggest you troll through this board and also the coinwash.com board. People like different equipment for different reasons - some of it nonsensical. It depends on what type of machines you are talking about as well and what your budget is also.

I could tell you my preference, but that is just what I like. I would look around at what equipment is at existing mats in the area you are considering. I would then most likely select something else so I could market it as being better than what the other guys have.

Your equipment mix will vary depending on your demographics. Like Howard said, check out your local competition to see what they have. Then put in a similar mix, but probably less smaller machines and more larger machines (the current trend is larger machines).
Make sure you have enough dryer pockets to handle your washer mix.
When making your selection lean toward more High Efficiency machines (Neptune, Aurora, Horizons, etc.) rather than top loaders.
Also compare warranty coverages.
When getting quotes, make sure everything is included and spelled out in the quote. Such as: Equipment (model, color, etc.), Delivery costs, taxes, installation costs, what is included in the installation (ducts, wiring, gas line shutoffs, hoses, bases, etc.), date of delivery, etc., etc.
You might see that one machine may cost more compared to another machine, but with all the additional costs added up the more expensive machine may become cheaper in the long run.
Are you considering a card store? If so, some equipment will work better than others when using a card system.
Another consideration is if you are going to be attended or unattended. Some equipment works better in an unattended store.

All good information provided here. Adding on to that - some companies offer a 3 year
(all parts)/5 year (some parts) warranty and some offer a 5 year warranty on all parts.
Check with various distributors and get a written price quotes. Unless you plan to pay
cash, get info on financing and their interest rates.
