Building a new laundromat in ohio want to keep customer's nice and cool in summer time. Guy wants me to put in an evaporative cooler . But have read they may not work right because of the humidity that is in ohio?

I would put in AC. The humidity is already high enough in Ohio during the summer months that the effect of an swamp cooler would not be very effective. One of the benefits of AC is that it takes out the moisture in the air making it feel much cooler than it actually is.
If you are going to be my competition then put in a swamp cooler, if not then put in AC. ;o)
