gas meter

Has anyone installed a gas meter for individual appliances? I want to put one going to my water heater to determine exactly how much gas it is using. If you have done this, where did you get the meter?

What you could do also is to put an hour meter on the water heater and thereby tell how many hours it is running (and use the BTU rating to determine the gas usage). Do a search on the coinwash board - it was discussed there
