I have an ADC-236 drum that has a small tear in it about the size of a golfball. I patched it about two years ago by taking some aluminum roof flashing and drilling holes in it to match the ones in the drum and then used a high temp 3M adhesive to glue it in place. It lasted for two years and just came loose this week. Is there a better way to fix this, or should I just repeat this procedure.
I was thinking about taking the drum out and brazing a piece of metal to the drum. How big a job is it to remove the drum and what is involved? Is it worth doing or is the two year glue job the way to go?
