These inverter drives are so expensive to buy. Do you know of a place that has successfully repaired yours ?

mountain electronics in burnsville NC will have 2 of mine tomorrow. 250.00 if they fix it nada if not successful. I believe they will replace the capacitors and resistors. EJ333 have you tried placing a small fan blowing directly on the vd it got me 7 more months. We get hit with lots of lightning around here and have p;aced a syrge protector at the breaker box. Apparently it is an accumilation of dirty power causing problems.

Bodman,
Has this outfit successfully fixed your inverter drives in the past ? My friend who is an electrician told me that I could install surge protectors that cost several hundred dollars each or three thousand dollars each. Of course the 3K ones would give better protection. The only question is that he couldn't guarantee protection, even with the expensive ones. Apparently, I need more than one because of my electrical panels. What do you think?

Sounds like all the savings in electric is used to repair the inverters.

ej333 they have 2 of them right now I hope to get them back soon . I have not had any issues at my 2 other mats with the dexter inverters. The one giving problems has had constant problems with power outages and power flickering . the store behind me lost his computers and plotter this past summer when we had a lightning hit the transformers. I count my blessings one of my buds in tallahassee florida owns a hugh mini warehouse business and he gets struck an average of 3 times a year, does 20k damage to his security computers /camera/gate opening systems. His ins. company excludes lightning on his policy. This not just a Dexter problem I have been to SQ and continental shows and they stronglyrecommend installing an additional surge protector per washer,

I have a main panel tvss system and I've had to replace 14 Dexter vfd's over the last 5 years. i think the 80# was around 900$. I do use the air compressor to blow the dust off the fins and fan on the inverter.
I was wondering if a few earth grounds at the machines might help? any opinions
I saw some classified in the recent laundry plant magazine touting inverter repairs for 70? but not for Dexter. At that price its real easy to do yourself with a solder gun

Has anyone found a repair company to fix the Delta Drive? I have 6 VFDs that are bad and out of warranty.

Give mountain electronics a call as mentioned above. The only inverter drives they fix at the moment are the Delta ones used in Dexter washers.
