my 75lb single pocket dryer's vend price is 3min/25cents with 1min cooling time,
If I increase it to 2min/quarter, then 1min cooling or No cooling time?

I'd still keep the 1min cool down cycle. No one is drying for only a quarter and at the end of the day they'll still run it for what ever length of time they use to just for a little more money. The 1 minute out of a 30 minute dry is not an issue. Besides, dryer drums can be pretty hot so if someone lets it run its course, let the drum cool down a bit.

HT,
You're talking about increasing your 75# dryer price by 50% and you're biggest concern is whether to keep the 1 minute cooldown or not? Are you kidding me? Don't you think a 50% price increase is a bit steep?
How about pricing it this way: $1.00 (1 dollar coin or 4 quarters) for 9 minutes (8 minutes of heat and 1 minute cooldown). This is still a 25% price increase but it is a much more functional way to sell your 75# dryer. Pricing by the quarter is like McDonald's pricing their Big Mac in nickel increments. It just doesn't make any sense.

All my dryers are set at 2 minutes cool down at the end of the cycle.
It has never been an issue or any complaints.
Clothes are still warm when they are pulled out and no wrinkles.

In Alaska, the 75lb SQ dryers were priced at $.50 minimum start for 2 minutes and 1 minute per quarter in cycle. 1 minute cool down, and you'll still get burned taking jeans out....

Last I checked, 4 quarters = $1.00.
you can price as Larry suggested whether your store accepts dollar coins, cards, quarters or rubles. Larry is just more creative than most because he thinks in full dollar increments.

Big believer in full cycle pricing on dryers. I am at $4 just to start the 75lb dryers, while all competition is still using a quarter to start......and I am doing just fine.
You may have some comments on the increase, but within a month you won't hear it at all.

HT,
I think 2 minutes/quarter is ridiculous but set it up and then tell us what happens.
