Just bought an existing mat and want to add some larger washers and stacked dryers. Everything in there now is Heubsch (washers and dryers). Does anyone have an opinion on the consequences good or bad of mixing and matching equipment manufacturers in a store?

My opinion is that customers could care less as long as they can wash and dry. Maintenance is of course simplified if everything is the same - I have three different brands in my store and don't have any problems though.

Use the KISS approach "keep it simple, stupid" One brand of same vintage is best so that customers only need to know how to work one thing.

Don't see there being a problem with mix 'n' match of equipment. Most likely mixing
~n~ matching can turn out to be a conversation piece. Agree with Azkid, as long as
the equipment is working properly, there shouldn't be a problem.

There is no "problem" in mixing and matching, it is just simpler for both you and the customer if they are all the same. Only one design to learn to use and only one design to learn to repair and only one set of spare parts to stock.

I have mats with IPSO, Dexter. Maytag mixed. I even have a few SQ's, which is what I started with originally. Buy the equipment best suited for your mat, and circumstance, they all have plus and minus. People are creatures of habit, they find a machine that suits them and use it every time, so brand is of no consequence..
