They do not go together like peanut butter & chocolate. My 1st question was "why would you throw $800 drapes in a washer and not dry clean them?" they looked kinda nice with all the blue crayon. The Mrs. was out in the parking lot throwing up (that's what the husband told me).

Tried to rewash with Wepso and no luck. Sent them off to the dry cleaners yesterday at 1pm. Haven't heard back from them yet. I showed them the multiple signage saying "customers are responsible to check machines, any damage is their own responsibility." The husband took it quite well (he told me he used to own a mat), the wife was air evacuated I think. LOL

With all that excitement, did your Mat make the 10 O Clock News?

With the husband taking things so well, I suspect he may have hated those drapes since they were originally installed, and picked up a few of the kids crayons on the way out the door to the LMat. Oh darn !! the drapes are ruined....woe is me.

It was probably her idea to "save some money" and use the mat instead of the dry cleaners. He probably warned her of the risk. They looked like they were nice drapes, I'm no drape expert but I'm smart enough to know these should not have been in a washer or a dryer.

The crayon in the wash can become a nightmare. They melt in the dryer and go all over, and very time consuming to remove.

I've had less problems like this (notice I said "less"), since I put up a BIG sign that says:

CHECK YOUR POCKETS! THESE THINGS WILL DAMAGE YOUR WASH!
Crayons
Makeup
Batteries
Pens
Lipstick
Chapstick
Mascara

If it's a dropoff, my employees are instructed to save the evidence.

I also have signs that tell people to check the machines before you load them. We are not responsible for damage done by items left in the machine by customers before you. (this is a vend-rite sign).

PS - I'm not sure this topic belongs in the "For Fun" category, lol....

If you are compelled to pay her some cash you only owe the depreciated value. The best way to determine that amount is to contact your insurance company and ask for the claims department, an adjustor will have a depreciation chart. . What we have been succesful with is offer free wash and dry for the depreciated amount,

this reminds me of a few weeks ago I pulled out a BIC lighter from the dryer from WDF load.

Let's just say this mellofellow went on a tirade.

We get at least one or two of these a month. Lots of bullets as well. I have found bullets up in the firebox!

Must have got in through the recirc duct.

Well, look at it this way, looks like your mat location is a profitable one.

Not yet!

Most of the ones I have found have been .22LR. I did find a .38SP once.

I've also had several bullets found also. The largest was for a 308 rifle. However unlike New York, in Utah anyone over the age of 18 can purchase them the same day.
