Does anyone have an idea on what to charge for specific alterations and repairs ie. sewing on a new button etc..

Yes.
Oh, suppose you wanted a more thorough answer. We charge a $2 minimum charge, which applies to buttons and such. On hemming and other charges you can call other stores and price for what is normal in your area.

We obtained a price list from the Dry Cleaning biz we use. Depending on the item we
tact on our cost. For example to cuff one pair of pants is 6bucks then we tact on 2.00
bucks to make it 8bucks. My wife used to sew basic or rushed items but now we just
go through the Dry Cleaning biz.
