I am wandering if anyone has used tokens in coin-op laundry and if so what is or was your experience. I like the fact that I wouldn't have to cart the quarters out. I am in the hispanic area and tha added security would be nice.
Thanks for all info.

My mat is token only for the machines (non dryers). Its what I inherited and Im happy with it. Reduces concerns about people pinching coins from machines, using "washers" or pieces of metal instead of coins. I have read with interest the comments in previous threads about card operated equipment and I may eventually go down that path although it would be a bit of a culture shock for my long standing customers.

A card system by far is much better than coin or token.

Why go with tokens? It is just another added expense. You will need to replace the ones people take home and lose. It might be a little bit better for security, but you still need to collect the tokens and restock the changer. Save your money and instead of buying tokens, buy a good camera DVR system.

One last thing about tokens. Several times there has been tokens offered on E-bay at very cheap prices.
