Does anyone have a link to a laundry which has real-time video of the laundry on their website?

Active Vision has some online demos which, by chance, happen to be of a laundromat. I've spoken to the rep there who also owns the mat. Pretty decent setup (and mat). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Active-Vision demo page (http://www.active-vision.com/LiveDemos.html)

Just use the name and password they provide.

Duane's got one...I think it www.lmaires.com (http://www.lmaires.com) or something like that. Look through his posts, I believe he lists his site in his tagline.

Yes, Duane has an excellent web site at www.lmaries.com (http://www.lmaries.com).

The "video" he provides, I believe, is actually a sequence of snapshots, which is a very clever way of providing "live" images without requiring any special software other than your browser. I look forward to Duane's real explanation. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Harv,

You explained it just as it is.

Thanks,

Duane.

Duane,

Care to talk about the particulars of an updated graphic every 2 seconds or so?

It is just a function of the video server that I have. Instead of streaming video when dialing in (PC - PDA or Cell Phone) I can ask for just one picture from any camera. This will let me take a quick look at the store. All I did was incorporate the snapshot command into an applet on my web page. This eliminates any need for anyone to download active-x agents or other special software. It is also much more friendlier for dial in users.
