To those who have stores in hot climates--what temps do you run your a/c at? Does anyone who have a 24 hour store use programable thermostats to flex the temps?

I use 2 swamp coolers and have since building was built. It is less $ to operate than AC . We keep it running all the time. We put it on low in the evening hrs. We easily hit tipple digits in the summer.

Unless you have overkill on your A/C sizing, chances are it will kick on in the morning and kick off late in the evening. The question is, at what temp do you want it to kick on and off. I have mine sent at 72F. On real hot and busy days it might reach 80. If I didn't start at 72 then the build up of heat would take the temp higher into the 80s on those hot days.
You can program your A/C to come on at xx time and shut off at xxx time, but chances are your store will not be comfortable. It is better to turn on and off at xx temp. If your store is undersized in the A/C department you might lower the setting so it can get a head start in the morning before the heat builds up.

Funny this post came up. Just found out last week that our A/C has not been running for over a month (because now it is hot enough to tell). Being repaired today. Fortunately it is only going to cost $300.
