I was just thinking how great it would be if we could charge $500.00 a wash.

Just a few customers each day and that's all we'd need. Machines wouldn't break down for weeks at a time, maybe months.

Hell, I could close the store on Saturdays.....

Oh well....just dreaming....

With the way our government is spending it will not be far off that we have to charge that much per wash!

Maybe THEN they will then make a $100 dollar coin for vending purposes!!!!!

Post a big sign "The first person who inserts exactly $500 quarters during one wash cycle wins free wash for life!" then sit back and watch cameras.

Be careful what you dream for, it might come true. I used to be in management consulting in the chemicals and plastics industry. I had a few key clients and did projects for them that were typically $100K or more per assignment. When you have big customers like that you constantly risk losing one which would have a big impact on you. That is part of the reason I bought a laundromat. Lots of little customers where none of them individually matter at all. Not that I treat them badly, but it is very nice not to have to worry about what one individual customer thinks or bust your butt to make them satisfied when you know they are wrong. There is something to be said about having lots and lots of customers each making a tiny contribution to your profits.

Yes Howard, good point. In truth, I always felt that there was big money in small sales.
And Larry, it looks like you've got about $500 in Dollar coins there. What did you do, just empty one of your toploaders?;)

Howard,

You make a good point. It comes down to the public being better served by use of washers & facility in our format vs a much more formal & expensive rental type of shop. Now if we can get those points to sink in to enough people so the more "goof ball leaders" are kept out of our state legislatures etc. --- of course that applies to the federal level also!
