Richard,

1 Why do people constantly come in my store, take quarters from my change machine and leave?

Because you're not DCO.

2 Why does it seem that anybody that washes clothes at my laundry, lives with 15 dogs?

Because they're hair today and gone tomorrow.

3 Why are my folding tables the most enticing jungle gym in the area?

Because people like to elevate their level of self esteem.

4 Why do my customers interpret 1/4 cup as 2 cups?

Because they feel inadequate. Try providing thimbles for measuring cups.

5 Why do people check the pockets of their clothes after they are dried?

To make sure the crayons didn't fall out.

6 Why is it ok to leave dryer sheets on the ground?

Because it's easier then leaving dryer sheets stuck on the ceiling.

7 Why do people bring their 8 kids with them to do laundry?

Because they don't yet have 9 kids.

8 Why am I here on my birthday?

Because this is your favorite place to be.

9 Why do I love this business? And I do!

Because it's much better than running a restaurant or bar.

you the new Question king.

Newbie, Newbie, Newbie. 9 questions does not even put rj in the running. Plus, you are being dinged one question (again) for providing determining evidence as a front runner party related to the issue at hand. You are reminded, as an interested party, you must not try to sway the opinions of the panel. The cumulative text as well as the individual post question records must be considered as well as the cumbersomeness (lets say that's a word for these purposes) and cantankerousness (that too) of your offerings may cause further question dings (that is the noise that happens when another question is added to your column). So in summary, rj lags in the runnings, Newbie is a frontrunner, and Stout has a current comfort zone as you are around the corner and up the road on him. Plese be comforted by the knowledge that there is a specific scientific process that goes into the rankings that involves part of my social security number being divided by the national debt...since my SS number shall remail unknown, and the national debt is a fast moving target...it would be too difficult to explain...at least without a world record sized pie chart, the kind that would make the guiness book. So, for the time being, you will have to rely on the fairness of the process, and hopes that the national debt starts going down soon....it could happen. Les

You need to get to the bottom of this. I recommend you chart these questions and place them in a conspicuous location, large print, and ask your customers for the answers. Maybe provide a multiple choice answer chart to make things easier. Les

Newbie,

Take heart. When the national debt drops to $1,000,000,000,000 (1 trillion dollars), Les' formula will require an immediate lowering of your Question Quotient and your Question King placement will dramatically decrease.

Larry: All true...and it could start as soon as 2012. But I guess you would have to be a "pot of gold at both ends of every rainbow" kinda guy to really buy on to this theory. Les

Les,

It will go to zero, possibly in our lifetime, when the USofA defaults on our debts and wipes the slate clean. Oi.
