Hello, I just have a few questions about the detergents used in the laundromats. Is it sold mostly via vending machine or over the counter? How about wash and fold laundromats, is it owner supplied or from a distributor. The reason I ask these questions is that i am a professional firefighter and thought about purchasing a laundromat, but the capital expense is a little high. I have an extensive backround in trucking/distibution, and wondered if there is a need for a detergent/cleaning supply distributor in your industry. Would owners be willing to sell detergent over the counter with a profit margine of about 25 to 40%, delivered to your store?Once again I'm not Corporate America, just a working guy like you are. Thank you for your time and will appriciate any comment's anyone has to offer. Thank you

My stores all have soap vending machines, so all is sold thru them . I make about 60%. There are many who sell soap, and other supplies to our business. I buy my soap from a small operator, he gives good service and I tend to favor the small guy, since I am one also. . You should contact the soap companies to find out more about how to be a distributor of thier product.
