Anyone else having problems with this website today? I am not having any problems with any other site, but this one is taking almost a minute per page to load.
Same here:
Shows "connectingtobeta9.planetlaundry.com"
I've also experienced it, both yesterday and today.

P.S.- Larry, I tried to make a signature and was able to preview it. How do I get it to come up when I'm done typing a post?

It will attach to the bottom of each post you write automatically. It's that CLA magic at play.

I don't think anyone's "watching" what you post, per se.... (at least not like some sites I've been on where the admins are reading every post and PM in real time to filter and censor results...)
I do know that the folks that run this place care deeply that things run smoothly. Any problems that arise sure aren't allowed to remain "problems" for more than a short while. How do I know this? Last week, Dave sent me a Facebook message mentioning a technical issue he was having. I forwarded the plea for help to the proper authorities and within 20 minutes we had a workaround going and within the hour the problem was resolved.
When _I_ had a problem last week, Brian Wallace was most happy to talk to me about it - he gave nearly 30 minutes of his time to discuss everything from the problem I was having to a "product improvement suggestion" I had for a manufacturer.... even the weather was discussed. Not to sound too much like a CLA fan-boy, but that sort of personal attention to members and their (seemingly petty) issues is worth the price of admission all by itself!
Oops, sorry... I'm rambling again. Back to the topic at hand... I had slow loading issues this morning as well. Most pages took 1:19 to load. I suspect there was an issue with the underlying database. I sent a text (or was it a tweet?) upstream and everything appears to be back to normal now.
