That is an easy one. Change the clear plastic motor relay. It is located on the back of the dryer in the electrical box.

That's correct. You may even be able to get a little more life out of a sticky relay like that by tapping it with the plastic handle of a screwdriver. Sometimes you can free the points that are stuck by doing that. (just don't slam the hell out of it, lol).

Paul,

If I had a dollar coin for every time I've tapped a dryer ice cube relay with a screwdriver handle, I'd have ... $30.00.

Larry,

The relays on my ADC 330's are bigger than 3 phase washer relays.
The points on these relays are the size of pencil erasers!
Consequently, I've never had to do the "handle tap" thing with those models, and I've never had to change one.
They've been operating since 1992.

However, the older ADC-285's do have this sticky relay problem. Seems ADC learns from it's mistakes.

Deward,

I would have said "quarter" but who wants to tap a relay for just a lousy quarter?
