I am remodeling an existing building for a laundromat. I need suggestions for the best base construction over a wood framed floor to set the washers on. Thanks

gosh, thats a tough question.
It depends, mostly on how much they weigh, and also how you intend to plumb them.

If the Location has a basement I suggest you use support columns otherwise your wood floor will shake with vibrations. The pad itself must be a minimum of 7 inches from the floor, use duct vents reinforced with rebar as support columns to the sub floor then fill these vents with concrete, its best if you construct the columns on slight angles (keep consistent) to distribute the weight and vibrations better. If you construct your pad this way you shouldn’t have any problems.
