I am about to open a third store and I am considering drop off drycleaning without pressing or any other labor/ employee intensive process. Can anyone speak from experience about the profitability of this service.
Thank You, Dan marrazz@msn.com

I bought a laundromat a little over a year ago that came with a drop dry cleaning service. I discontinues it after a month due to it not being profitable. Had to send it out and got a percentage of the ticket price. It seemed that I would have had to do a lot of business to make it work and pay the wages. The demographics in my area just didn't make it work. Good luck.

I started a drop off drycleaning service when I bought my laundromat. I have a deal with an area drycleaner, he picks up, drops off, does all the bagging etc. and I get 40%. The only thing I do is take in the orders and write them down in a book to keep track of what's out etc. While I am not making a ton of money it is cash that requires very little effort on my part.

It's profitable if you are in the right market and have a good dry cleaner that will pick up and deliver. You have to have good workers and you have to spend time training them as one mistake tagging clothes incorrectly can cost you a lot of money
