Machine prices?

Hi, looking for VERY GENERAL new pricing information for the "generic" entry-level top loading washing machine. Say the generic, no frills Speed Queen (or similar brand). Not double or triple loaders, just single loader (would this be 18 pound?). Just a good rough estimate is all I need, for comparitive information and research.

You should call your local distributors. You could use $600 I would think and most tops are rated for 12 pounds.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe I read somewhere that $100 a lb was a good guide as to the cost of a front load washer? So of course an 18lb washer would be about $1800.
