I've never been strung, as far as I know. I have MARS validators which are supposed to be good against that. Out of curiosity, what appearance do bills have, that have been used successfully/ unsuccessfully in cases of stringing ?

In some cases you will see tape or tear marks on the top edge of the bill. Your machine will sometimes, depending on the brand will show an out of order. Sometimes the bill will be torn and only partially there.
You know it would be interesting to try stringing my Pepsi machine to see how secure it is. They normally do not use near as many safe guards on them as they do in coin machines.
