Just saw him on the Republican Convention.
Some of you may disagree, but this guy is something else!
Here's a taste of how he handles criticism:

It was not bad, but not his best - like "Get the hell off the beaches"
I think Romney's wife did a killer job.

Yes she did! An amazing woman!
I thought Nikki Haley wasn't bad either.
And John Kashich had a terrific turnaround story as governor of Ohio!

I really liked the speech given by the black former Democrat turned Republican. I really liked Christie's line that went something like real leaders don't lead based on polls, they change them.

Yeah, that was his best line. It's a great thought that diminishes Obama somewhat.
Have you ever seen Mia Love?

Some of you may not like her views, but to me...Mia Love is fascinating....inspiring...and uplifting....we need more Mias in this world. Loads of positive energy.
A lot of how she thinks applies to small business. Think like her and your Mat will fly!
I agree with her that this country is in deep trouble in many ways. It isn't a great timing for someone to step up to lead this country with intentions other than saving this country. I won't be surprised to see the first lady president in the next decade. Problem is -- how much can a human do in four years? When the conflicts reach a limit, the society itself will call for a revolution. That is what will make a change.

Well, I think we've become too divided as a nation the past few years.
There are radicals on both sides that push the politicians.
That said, I don't like how Obama and the Democrats, who had the first 2 years with complete control of all 3 branches of our govt, squander their and our resources on "social changes" rather than actually focus on the economy.
They didn't have a clue then, and they STILL don't have a clue as to how to jumpstart our economy.
Remember when Big Mouth Biden was going around proclaiming "recovery summer"? That was TWO summers ago!!!!

Paul, please tell me you did not mean what your wrote. They did not control the Supreme Court which is the third branch. They controlled both houses of Congress and the Executive branch. Only stinking liberals believe one party controls the court, and I know you are not one of them :D

Hahahaha!! Yep, you're right Howard. I "mis-spoke".
I meant that they controlled the Executive branch, and both Houses of Congress.
I stand corrected!

I never heard Paul Ryan speak before, but now I know why Romney picked him.
He is the perfect VP pit bull!!!
IMO, he not only hit a home run tonight, he hit it right out of the park!!
What a confident, articulate speaker!
I can't wait to see him debate Biden. He's gonna chew him up and spit him out.
Susanna Martinez was also very moving. A Rising star.

Yup Ryan is a great speaker and a whiz with numbers. He and Romney are perfect to fix the mess the 0bungler has created.
...and I know what you where saying before - I was just poking at you for the technical aspect of it.

I voted for Christie, not a bad speech.
But Rand Paul gave the best speech in my opinion, look forward to seeing him as president down the line.

I was so impressed with Ryan last night that I decided to go over to "the dark side" (MSNBC) after he spoke, to see what they were saying about him.
Even THEY were impressed!!! Every talking head on Chris Matthews' panel all said that Obama/Biden should be worried.
The most Matthews was able to come up with was that his "fact checkers" thought (but weren't sure) that the GM plant that Ryan said closed down in his town might have not been the same date that Ryan said.
Howard, Ryan had a lot of great lines. What was your favorite?

Probably that 0bamba's time has past. Also like the one that about college grads living in their childhood bedrooms with faded 0bamba posters.

Paul,
I liked it when he included "Cleaners" in his list of small businesses. All his comments about small businesses having a key role in the economic recovery were so true. When he showed justified anger we all knew it was not just shallow & superficial.
It is important that people hear unfiltered what our choices have to say. We have been favoring C-Span lately for that very reason on our big 60" screen. I have been known to try to help the customers to discern some of the information. One discernment is the reality check of mine & my main help's family health plan went up a horrific 20% in January over the previous year ... so they know there is actual experience involved & not just talk.
Another thing that lingered in my mind was that at the CLA's Regional less than 2 years ago in St. Paul, Mn ... there were a very large proportion of Wisconsinites there.

Yes he did, I wish they All did the job the way he does.
He reminds of President Clinton. People will travel and pay tickets to listen to his speech. To me, the Supreme Court's decision on Obamacare was a trap. This "victory" contributes negatively to Obama's re-election. Ryan addressed many facts during his speech. Of all of the fancy lines, I only remember four words "We have a plan..."

I must say that I was exceptionally pleased with Ryan last night. I have known the guy from the beginning. He represents not only me, but my laundromat as well!!! Both are in his district. Soon he will be representing all of us.

It seems these guy's are on the right path to get in office. Lots of good stuff from the RNC. I was hoping Romney's wife was going to tell us the first time she was proud to be an American, and remind the folks what MsBO had to say on that front. I do not want to imagine the damage this guy could do in a lame duck session of a second term. Les
