I am getting mildew growth on the grey rubber boot thats between the front door and the drum. Full strength bleach won't remove it. Any suggestions?

I don't yet know how to get the mildew cleaned off, but I know that the best way to avoid mildew is to keep the door ajar when the machine is not in use. Keep the soap dispenser cover open also. Since the boots seem to tear and need replacement fairly often, you should ultimately end up with clean boots.

Mildew was a big problem in the earlier models of the Neptunes sold for home use. Maytag has since redesigned the boot so it doesn't hold as much water, and the door to allow the machine to dry out better if the door is closed. You may want to contact your distributor to see if there is a "kit" or replacement boot you can use.

But the open door is the best deterrent. Have your attendants wipe the boot out every night.

Maytag has what they call an enhancement kit for the mold problem on the domestic machines! I had a customer call them and they were going to put her in contact with a local repairman to do the change at NO CHARGE(this is domestic & I do not know what their policy is on Commercial) but just ask!! Customer service Phone # is on your owners manual(it may be different for commercial also)
