For all of you who have Dexter washers, have you stayed with the settings from the factory, such as one wash and two rinses, or have you enabled the pre-wash and third rinse?

I'm wondering how they compare at the factory settings to other brands, such as Wascomat, Speed Queen and Maytag. I've had customers complain that the cycle times are too short. Also seems like if they use too much soap, then the clothes don't seem to come clean with the two rinses. I have signs telling them to watch the soap, but no one reads.

I set my Dexter 40# to 1 wash 2 rinses. The run time is 28 minutes. So far I have had NO complaints about soapy clothes or clothes not clean.

Good luck, Mike

Jim,

Sorry I had a brain lapse. I have my Dexter set for 1 wash 3 rinses. The reason I went with 3 rinses was because of previous experience with customers using way more soap than all of my well placed signs advised them to.

Thanks. I left mine at the i wash and 2 rinses, but the people use way too much soap. I'm pondering whether I should go to that third rinse.

I set all mine to 1 prewash, 1 wash, 2 rinse

People always use to much soap, this solves the problem nicely. The prewash does not send water thru the soap dispenser though. If they use to much powder, some of it falls into the tub, if using liquid it all ends up in the tub. Overall, the settings have worked well for me.
