Hello all,

I just bought an older store. It has lots of singles, plus 1 Borg Warner dbl. and 3 Gebau triples. I am not replacing them now. They need to be bolted down better though because they are shaking. I have the full basement and the machines are in pairs at either end of the store. My question is; does anyone have advice/drawings on the frame and post configuration and materials for me?. Thanks for your help.

Dave

My best advice would be for you to call a few equipment dealers and ask them about fixing your problem. They may all use the same installer, or have their own teams. Installing large washers is an art, and over a full basement, more than art, a science, at least from what I have heard/read. This is not a do it your self or down load from the Internet thing. If the city gets involved plan on engineering costs as well.

I would guess that you need to add some kind of support under your floor. After having done that however, we have found a metal fabricator in our area that will make any frame we draw him. We have had him make 5 so far and he is currently making one for us. Each case is a little different. In our current project we will be using a steel frame, plus adding cement in and around the frame as we are adding large, V series machines.
