I looked at one mat two days ago. I admit the Pro-Forma looks promising and I told the broker this. He is relentles and is pushing me to send a "letter of Intent". This sounds like a question for my attourney but I am just curious to hear what you all know about the issue....
And the second is, can I but keys to get these open or are there too many keys for that? I don't have the keys because the previous owner left on bad terms. Building caught fire and since she was only claiming 8000 a year in profit, the insurance company gave her that in replacement income. She used the rent money to service and owned the landlord about 45K in back due rent. (I know someone would ask) lol

Hoping to get some great advice from all of the experienced owners out there and return the favor to new guys down the road (outside of a 15 mile radius) lol. I have been a DJ for several years and owned a side business. We had a grocery store and the laundromat was vacant next to my business. I worked everything out with the landlord and we signed the lease may 1st. We have 26 Huebsch dryers, 6 American dryer's and 2 large maytag dryers. We also have 4 maytag 35 lbs washers and 2 50lbs with 30 20 lbs speed queens waiting to be delivered.

Hello guys,
I am trying to get a good idea of selling prices and I like the formula for a multiple of Net income. However, the mats I am looking at include or don't include the "owner's income" in the Net Income. Worse yet is that some owners only draw 5,200 per year and others as much as 40,000 per year. Weather or not you include these numbers can have a HUGE effect on the sale price I calculate. Should I just exclude it? What do you think?
Much Thanks

If you read the above article carefully ... it also states coins. It appears like there will be between 600 & 800 of these more capable ATMs by Chase Bank alone by the end of the year.

Just think ... the ATM owners can easily put $2 bills in a canister instead of $1s to satisfy the percentage of people who insist on paper rather than their new choice (option) of more durable & recyclable dollar coins.

I view this as a positive for both our industry & for the common good.

Hello all,
I noticed something interesting in my weekly laundry research project. (I am going to a new mat at least once a week to take some notes). The last mat I was at had a huge truck parked alongside which was obviously a mobile bill board as well for party rentals, I assume the truck was also storing inventory. I thought perhaps the mat owner was branching out. I looked up the party service on line and you can see clearly some of the pictures of set up equipment are in the parking lot of the mat. This guy has a few things going on I can see! I guess his mat doubles for storage of equipment and advertising while he is at it! Gotta hand it to him, I think it's great thinking. Anyone else encounter anything like this?

Wascomat Gen6 vs. Huebsch Galaxy 600 -- Washer Programming Abilities

Wascomat Gen6 vs. Huebsch Galaxy 600 -- Washer Programming Abilities

What is the best washer?
A simple question that has been asked over and over...

Wascomat Gen6 vs. Huebsch Galaxy 600 -- Washer Programming Abilities

What is the best washer?
A simple question that has been asked over and over again. Most of the time, the responses stopped at "Most of the new washers nowadays give you the ability to raise the water levels, remove baths, extend the length of bath time, and so on." or "I love my XYZ washers. I will not trade them for anything else!" Let's get down to the details. I'm comparing Wascomat and Huebsch side by side as I've only owned new washers of these two brands. There are some very important differences, which you can easily tell when you design the wash programs. The software allow the users to get the most out of the hardware. It is very easy to find out the disadvantages of a machine because no matter what the software is capable of, its functionalities are limited by the hardware. For instance, when there are only two inlet hoses, at some point, the software can not shorten the filling time (to reach a certain water level) any further unless at least one more inlet hose is added to the machine.

1. Water Level:
-Wascomat allows you to set the water level anywhere from 0 to the maximum value allowed. You can set the water level by gallons, inches, or some meaningless scale values. You can set different water level for each bath. This is pretty easy to understand.
-Huebsch uses a very strange method to set the water level. It first sets three standards: Low Level, Medium Level, and High Level. Then there are 10 different water levels for each standard ( 0-10 for low, 11-20 for medium, and 21-30 for high). This method sounds good so far, doesn't it? Well, when you set the water level of a bath, you can only select one of the three standards. Not any further than that. For example, if you attempt to have water level 25 for the first bath, 28 for the second, and 30 for the third. You can't. You can only choose low, medium, or high. 25, 28, and 30 are all belong to the high level. You will have to pick one value for the high level for all three baths and be happy with it.

2. Extract speed:
-Wascomat only allows a 100G washer to extract at full speed. I don't know whether Wascomat allows you to program a 200G washer to extract at 100G.
-Huebsch allows a 100G washer to extract at 27G, 80G, or 100G. (Now it only gets harder to estimate the store revenue from water bills, doesn't it? ;))

3. The number of wash programs:
-Wascomat allows more than 10 wash programs to be uploaded to a single washer. You can even name each wash program (i.e. Diapers Only )
-Huebsch Galaxy 600 offers only 6 wash programs. In my opinion, the blanket cold and delicate warm are useless.

4. Extra Wash and Extra Rinse:
-These two options are not programmable in Wascomat washers. They were totally ignored by Wascomat when the programmers developed the wash program software. These two options only offer cold baths for simplicity. To me, this is totally unacceptable.
-These two options are programmable in each Huebsch wash program. You can adjust the water level, the length of the time, change water temperature, and etc. Each is treated as one of the baths. Thus, it is given all the abilities.

As always, thanks for comments!

I have a laundromat that is brand new and has been only about 6 months. My competitor is about 2 miles from me (old machines but a little renovated) and has many many apartment complexes near him. I have not yet sent a direct mail ad yet in his location and am planning too. His machines are very old and only are in 3 sizes. I have many different types and way more affordable than his. I went to his laundromat and washed some of my clothing today and realized a few things. His machines would give a longer spin and I barely used the dryers. He charges 35 cents for his dryers and I charge 25. I plan to make my dryers free and mention about the cheaper washer prices in the flyer. Do you guys think this is a good approach to get those customers down here. I mean many apartments as in many thousands. Also, I plan to make my card system to only allow customers who wash to use the dryers as well. Should I as well increase the spin time of my washers so the dryers are used less?

Sudds, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
