Phone scam- Mini Motel Laundry
I just received a call through the AT&T Instant Message Relay Service ( Text to phone for hearing impaired or scammers).
They sold their mini-motel in one state and were moving to mine and needed 100 comforters cleaned. Please give me the price for 50 King and 50 Queen. So far so good. A nice chunk of change.
And if you could do me a favor I am in the hospital with cancer and the shipper doesn't take credit cards so if you could add another $1350 for the shipper and send the cash by Western Union and bill the total to my credit card......
Once I started asking for details on the previous motel, the location of the new one and shippers name and address they hung up.
Thinking back I should have got the card number so I could at least let that guy know his card has been stolen.
Somewhere Parry Cole may soon have a bad day.
Fortunately my attendant knew to pass this one on to me.
Now back to washing real laundry.
