It's working for me, but like you say, I'm getting pauses & hangs before the page loads up.
I'm hoping it will clear up in a couple of days. I imagine it will.

Hey guys, while Case might have a case with his "hops" theory, things are a little slow. I'm going to be scheduling some tweaking of the server settings here soon. Then I'll ask that you guys let me know if you see some improvement.

The site seems to be working much more smoothly now than it was this morning around 7 AM. Keep up the good work.

If it is on a shared hosting account, then there's nothing much one can do. There are peak hours and off peak hours. A slower load time is expected for a site that needs frequent access to database. It takes time to get data from database then generate a php file. Imagine a server that is shared by 2000+ accounts.

It's wednesday around 10:30 am. I don't know about you other guys. Maybe you have less "hops" from the server, but the site is still slow for me here in NY.

Time is important for me, so I can't afford to wait for pages to load up.

Almost 11am here in NJ and it is a dog. I think they traded down from the IBM PC-XT to a plain IBM PC with dual floppy drives

Very slow loading pages.

Site is still slow to load Ive been on it a couple of times lately and I can hardly stand it.
I now know what my customers feel like when the washers don't work rite.
I know you are working on it but it is very frustrating.

Very slow from here (northern NJ). Round-trip PING times from here to www.planetlaundry.com show about 50 msec. The slow response seems to be caused by a heavily-loaded server, not by unusually long transit times through the Internet itself.
