Rubber Flooring

Hello I was at the gym today and thought if any laundromat owner ever used the rubber flooring that they put in gyms comes in 1/2 to 3/4 inch and a lot of colors. Wondering if anyone thinks its even an option. Thanks Mike

We use carpet in our unattended store to help keep the slips down from leaks and spilled product. We have installed rubber flooring on landings and steps for past Govt projects to help control slips, they were hard surface dimpled and would work OK for a damp surface, but not work well if soap was spilled. Les

Thanks for your input I know the floor your talking about with the dimples the I like is flat no dimples and comes in roles about 6ft long with specs of color in it.

You might do what I did with the carpet....get a sample piece to work with and pour all the usual suspects on it, leave it overnight, see how slippery it gets with different products...see if it absorbs or discolors etc. Les

I had carpet in one of my stores, in a lower class neighborhood. I only put it in as a tempory floor because in was a low cost quick fix. I found it worked out great. It was indoor outdoor carpet eith a pattern and keeps children from riding the carts and lowered the noise level. You can buy stain resistant carpet and it cleans up well. (low cost flooring)
