In the Garbage
Went to clean up today and noticed that one of the 55 gallon garbage containers were extremely heavy, upon inspection, found a pair of Bose 301 Series Speakers. Broght them home and hooked them up, they work perfectly. Looked up on E-bay, they is a current bid for $200.00
Last week found Blu Ray of Rambo II.
No, I am constantly looking through the garbage beofre throwing into the dumpster. Yes I am officially a dumpster diver, but just at my Mat.

I would never bring those into my house. They could have roaches or bedbugs in them.

Jeff, very true!
I'm in NYC, the bedbug capital of America. An exterminator told me that one of the ways bedbugs spread here is when people throw out something that is infested with them, and along comes someone else who says...."Wow, what a nice headboard".
Of course, being in our industry, what we can do is to remove the drive belt from one of our dryers and put the item (in this case, Bose speakers), into the dryer for an hour. Anything over 125 degrees will kill bedbugs and their eggs, so in the case of the speakers, I would set my dryer on medium (150 degrees).

So....apparently it does not "all come out in the wash"...sometimes it comes out in the dry. I wonder if 150 degrees would woofer the tweeters. Les
