I had a similar problem with a dexter dryer, and I solved it by changing the igniter probe. Also, make sure you're getting a good flow of gas. I have seen valves go bad on old machines.

Change out both gas valve coils. Sometimes only swapping out one will do the trick.

thank you for all the information gave. i just had find out this sometime can light up with very weak flame then goes a little bit more flame. sometime it can light up very very weak flame at a few second then dead.
question..
1. is the gas pressure has the problem.. because this dryer is locate at the up last machine for the gas pipe line?
2. is the gas valve has problem?
what can i do...

Flowerhorn,
It could be either. You can ask the gas company to check the pressure at that dryer or you can switch the gas valve with another dryer (on the other end of the row) and see if the problem switches to the other dryer or not.

Sounds like the machine is Not Sensing the Flame, if the ignition box has been changed, it is most likely the ignitor or the lead.

Flower,
If the bottom dryer is plumbed to the same gas distribution pipe as the upper dryer; I would expect a low pressure problem to show symptoms in both dryers.

If it lights but then goes out change the high voltage lead first. Remember on an Alliance made tumbler with spark ignition the lead not only carries the current for the spark but also the signal for proof of flame.
