at least 7 mats have been hit here by changer molesters. They punch out the bill readers and reach inside through the hole with a grabber and pick out the bills. In one case 2 men walked into mat while customers were present pulled out a cordeless grinder and cut off the hinges, then pryed open the box using a 36" bar . they told customers to mind their own business. I found out fingerprints cannot be pulled off a painted surface. Jesus and my little 38 special might start taking naps in he back room for a surprise application of justice.
My thoughts are when a strategically placed alarm sensor is triggered "something like a loudspeaker or better" could scare the crap out of the perpetrator(s). That & a split second notification unique sound on our 24/7 cell phones with immediate video ... to give a firm dispatch for hopefully law enforcement within a short enough distance away ... makes sense.
Are you packing because of your laundromat's locale? I'm about two years into my store, and I've never felt threatened, but my neighborhood also isn't skeevy.
I'm sure your neighborhood is a good one, but remember, you're just across the river from THE reason for concealed carry in the PNW! ;-)
