I NEED INFORMATION ON HOW TO GET COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTS. wHAT KIND OF BUSINESSES SHOULD I CALL ON. DO YOU GIVE THEM A LOWER PRICE PER POUND DUE TO MORE VOLUMN OR CHARGE THEM MORE DUE TO THE PICK UP AND DELIVERY EXPENSE? Any help will be appreciated.
From my personal experience good business to call on would be beauty shops, tanning salons, car washes, fitness clubs, YMCA, ect. Stay away from nursing homes, auto repair shops, restaurants with greasy towels, cleaning companies with mopheads and floor mats. Yes you need to have a minimum, and definitely charge more per pound to cover your pick up and delivery expenses. I would charge in the neighborhood of $1.25 a pound.
I have heard from several technicians that the strings from mopheads tend to get wrapped around the shaft of the basket, which will damage the seals, leading to a bearing job. With the volume that you are doing though, yes, I would want that business, as you can afford to do a bearing job if needed.
