Re: Dryer tempature
SEFlaundry,
My Huebsch dryers are set at: 190 - high; 145 - medium and 125 - low with a 1 minute cooldown at the end of the run.

Re: Dryer temperature
Different brands of dryers have different settings. What is 195 degrees for one brand is the same as another's 160 degrees. It all depends where the sensor is located, before or after the basket.
You should specify your brand and model to compare apple to apples.
Cool down times are very important. I have at least a 2 minute cool down to help eliminate the chance of an unattended load burning.

Re: Dryer tempature
I have 30# and 45# Huebsch stack dryers and they are set at 180, 165, and 150, with about 3 or 4 minute cool downs.

Re: Dryer temperature
190 160 140 in most my dryers, turn high down to 170 in one store since a few customers burned some of their 100% ply colthes.
If your dryer not dry fast enough, air flow will be as important as dryer's temperature.

Re: Dryer temperature
I just installed these dryers last week. Some people complained that they are not drying fast. So i changed the default from perm. press to normal and bumped the high temp from 180 to 190. I will see shat people say in the next couple of days. My only concern now is that i am running theses off a common duct....

Re: Dryer temperature
Does this common duct also support your older dryers? If so, it may not be sized large enough for the new dryers.
Each dryer duct should connect to the common duct at an angle. That angle should point to the exhaust point of the common duct.
With the new dryers, do you need more makeup air?
If the new dryers are in addition to your current dryers, or you replaced singles with stacks you may have gas pressure problems.

Re: Dryer temperature
STD32DG is the 126,000 BTU model,so each pocket is 63,000 BTU.
I guess that your old dryer is 80,000-125,000 BTU,so the new dryer will dry slower than the old one,low BTU model dryer will dry slower,if your vent ,make up air are ok,not a lot you can do about that.
