Laundromat Trivia - Front Load Washer
Guys,
Us old timers don't have any advantage with this week's question. We're going to find out who has their ear to the rail and who doesn't. This is the toughest question yet. Good luck.

Doesn't speed queen and continental already have a 120-125lb washer? I voted Dexter

alesser,
Not that I'm aware of.
Interestingly, this pole actually shows me who is voting for what choice. It's never done that before.
Are we having fun yet?

Conti has a 125 already. I wouldn't be surprised if all the Alliance labels came out with one in the near future.

PS Larry- there's a "make this a public poll" option that allows you to see who voted for what.

Guys,
Come on ... 38 viewers and only 5 votes ... what is wrong with this picture? Maybe if I tell you to text your vote (standard text messaging rates apply) like The American Idol ... then would you vote?

Maybe the rewards need to be more rewarding.

Deward,
Hey, that's a great idea.
As of right now, I'm giving all voters AWARD POINTS that can be used at my competitor's laundromats.

I voted for Speed Queen because I would like to see them come out with A Big Mac, or some could say Whopper.

Kenny,
In the 1970s, we had a single 25# washer in the back of one of our laundromats. It was the Big Boy washer although, for the life of me, I cannot recall the actual brand name on it. That washer would be about equal to a 40# washer today.
Washer sizes are still increasing and we'll have to come up with labels to fit these monster washers like the 125# models.

And The Winner Is ...
Guys,
The pole has closed and it's time to come clean with the answer.
Basically, what we have is a 4 way tie because Electrolux and Wascomat are the same company and I should have put them together like I did with Huebsch/SpeedQueen.
The envelope please ... ... ... ... and the answer is ... ... ... ... Huebsch/SpeedQueen. They will be debuting a 125 pound, hardmount washer at the CLA convention this June.
Now guys, remember ... you heard it here first.
