Newbie w hopes of joining the ranks in NJ, PA or MD/DC

Hello....

I'm from northern NJ and have resided in the Lehigh Valley area of PA for 5.5 yrs. I first hoped to get into the business while in undergrad in the mid-late 90s. I've since done a few other other things including culinary school, and I currently work as a high school librarian -(bored to death & absolutely hate it!!!). My lifelong dream has been to be my own boss, and I'm not afraid of hard work.

I would like to network and learn from as many successful and insightful owner-operators as possible. Hoping to glean from your experience and expansive knowledge-base as I am 100% clueless about the business/industry! This will be a career change and financial risk for me so I need to minimize the stupid mistakes. A colleague reignited the idea of owning a lmat.
