i recently when to see one not too long ago, the shop was actually divided with the washers on one room, then there's a wide door in the midde to the other side with all the dryers and tables. both rooms each has a door to the same outside, except the door are exit only on the room of the dryers while entrance only on the room of the washers. i thought that was different and clever. that owner has not return my calls, emails, etc yet ad i was approaching to buy the mat.

to me, a mat operation is an assembly process. one process has to be completed for the next process to start.

Depending on how long term you are looking at for your older equipment ... if you paint them ... you may want to check to see if a local shop can sandblast & powdercoat the panels & in a reasonable & straightforward way. From experience ... the results can be great & more durable.

the electrostatic paint job has worked the best for me as for the down under comment might I suggest to you to look at a globe Florida is above the equator . As far as ADA for dryers I am not aware of any . just tax credits for stack vs single pocket.

You globe analysis is correct, but Australia is below the equator.

ada regulations are on the rise every where. it's just wise to stay ahead of their rules.

america isn't the only nation that's consider advanced

ADA is far from being advanced. It should be scrapped (just like obungler care) and replaced with something that is more business friendly.

It would be much more cost effective and actually helpful to those with disabilities if businesses were allowed to make reasonable accommodations rather than major expensive structural changes. That means if you are fully attended have the attendant there to help a disabled person rather than spend lots of money on the off chance that a disabled person might one day come to use the store.

It would not surprise me to learn that the commercial laundry manufacturers and their distributors are also behind the ADA requirement.
They want to force all mats to have the newest products that are ADA compliant! It increases the job market and increases revenue and profits.
