Is your local economy recovering?
According to (un)informed sources, Real Estate foreclosures are declining, generally. However, in some areas, things continue to languish.
I'm wondering if your revenue is up, down or staying the same. Naturally, I hope it's at least staying the same if you're in the black.
Sincerely,
Vince Runza
P.S. The poll is anonymous.

Vince,
My best guess is the local economy is staying the same as it's been since 2009. There were some announcements of some big projects to come (like the second generation Lithium battery plant) but they have stalled and construction did not begin. So there's nothing I can point to that shows any sign of new life or hope for the local economy.

Actually, The banks are just selling the notes to bulk investors and just like my next door neighbor who has not paid his mortgage in 3yrs is still in his "forecloure" process BS.

The biggest problem I face in gentrification . If we did not have rent control I would be out of business already . Latin familys are being replaced by single Caucasian professionals in the areas my laundromat is located

Single Caucasian professionals who all have environmentally conscious washers and dryers, no doubt. Ouch!

Yeah, like those folks who gave up looking for a job. Unemployment is lower!

My attendant (legal U.S. resident) is leaving this country next week. I am hiring three attendants. Two of them are likely going to work 40 hours.
As a result, this year, one person will claim unemployed in the U.S. Three people will claim employed. My store's revenue will likely stay the same. I will work less hours and make less profit. I'm confused about what I should vote.

-No. It is his wish, too.

we bought one our mats by purchasing the note and paying the "owner" to leave. foreclosures are very, very, very messy procedures.

Hanging on......
There are but a few businesses left open in my small community. We just lost another restaurant and the bakery closed. My landlord has so many storefronts available for rent but no businesses coming into town. My business is down over previous years and if it weren't for my one and only seasonal, commercial account, I would be closing as well. The economy is very bad here and I feel its gotten even worse than last year.

So sorry to hear that. A presidents focus should be right now on creating jobs. Just hang in there!
