American Dryer Corp. has developed a new feature for its dryers that will allow laundry owners to generate additional revenue through advertising.
The company’s new Clean View Media transforms its EcoDry ES series dryer into a video billboard by placing a fully WiFi-enabled screen between the dual-pained door glass of the ES series dryers.
During a time when traditional media outlets are struggling, digital advertising is a growing medium, and Clean View Media can enable laundry owners to benefit from this growth. The dryers offers an ideal media outlet, while a self-service laundry provides a captive audience – an excellent combination for advertisers who are seeking creative ways to reach consumers.
Stephen Ventola, owner of Laundri Centre in Rockland, Mass., recently purchased 15 ES stack dryers with Clean View Media for his business.
“The decision to purchase ADC EcoDry dryers with Clean View Media was an easy one,” he said. “Local business owners are coming to me to secure ad space in the media display. It practically sells itself.”

The same can be accomplished by mounting any of the WiFi enabled "digital picture frames" in your stores...almost.
Is "Clean View Media" simply ADC's name for the feature, or is CVM a new marketing and advertising sales company? Does the store owner have none, some, or total control over the individual ads displayed? What technology do the displays...display? (ie: are all ads static jpegs, flash animated? PowerPoint driven from an on or offsite PC?)
Neat looking feature that generates MANY questions! I hope I don't have to wait for Clean '11 to find the answers! ;-)
