The Coin Laundry Association is celebrating its 50th Anniversary aboard a Caribbean cruise. Proving to be a popular event for members, the first set of cabins under the CLA’s room block sold out in less than four weeks. The association recently added another block, but the cabins are only available for a limited time.
“Outside cabins seemed to be the most popular choice among those who pre-registered with us,” said Brian Wallace, CLA president and CEO. “So, it was only natural to lock in our low rate for outside cabins with an additional block.”
The anniversary celebration has become more affordable for store owner members. Sponsors such as Alliance Laundry Systems (Speed Queen, Huebsch and IPSO), Continental Girbau, Inc. and Maytag Commercial Laundry have offered to offset the cost by funding a portion of the fees.
“When you compare the new rate with the Internet specials, the CLA’s special rates are a great value,” Wallace continued.
The four-day cruise takes members to three tropical islands – Key West, Coco Cay and Nassau. Members also have the opportunity to take part in five hours of educational programming and special networking events. Sessions include “Boosting Drop-Off & Commercial Accounts,” “Multi-Store Management Secrets,” “Brand Masters: Marketing Means Business” and “Transforming with Technology: Embracing It.”
The special anniversary cruise begins with an on-land seminar and the annual meeting, both of which are complimentary events for all members. Attendees for the Monday, October 11, 2010 on-land portion of the anniversary celebration do not need to register for the cruise.
