The Coin Laundry Association has announced that its 2010 Educational Conference will take place May 21-22 in the historic Baltimore area at the Courtyard Baltimore Downtown/Inner Harbor.

The conference will bring together laundry operators, potential investors and multi-store owners to share their insights and skills in developing a successful laundry operation, improving customer relations and increasing revenue.

A full day of sessions on Friday, May 21, will be devoted to the seasoned laundry owner. Topics provided during the “Core Competencies” series will include: “Shades of Green: Eco- and Investment-Friendly,” “Delivering the Message: Direct Mail Techniques that Work,” “Internet Marketing: The Future is Now!” “Shifting Strategies: Building for the Future” and “Designed to Sell.”

For store owners with more than one location, the CLA is once again presenting the opportunity to network with other multi-store owners. The daylong exchange will take place on Saturday, May 22. As in the past, this session will be open strictly to multi-store owner members of the association. Space is limited to 30 participants.

Potential investors researching the self-service laundry industry will not want to miss a special series of sessions, also presented on Saturday, May 22. The new format for these presentations will break each phase of research into steps. These six steps will be presented by industry leaders and will cover such topics as verifying income and tracking profit.
