Speed Queen recently added Southern Automatic Machinery Co. (SAMCO), which is based in Atlanta, as a full-line distributor of its commercial laundry products. SAMCO will be responsible for distributing Speed Queen coin and on-premise laundry (OPL) equipment in Georgia, Alabama and southern South Carolina.
“We are pleased to welcome Southern Automatic Machinery to the Speed Queen family of distributors,” said Bill Bittner, Speed Queen national sales manager. “SAMCO’s established market presence in this territory and their reputation for excellent customer service make them an ideal match for Speed Queen.”
Owned by John and Elaine Sugg, SAMCO has been serving the needs of laundries in Georgia and Alabama since 1948. In addition, SAMCO has been extremely active in helping new investors get into the coin laundry business in the region.
“We, at Southern Automatic Machinery, are excited to add the Speed Queen line to our mix of commercial laundry equipment,” John Sugg said. “The help and support we are receiving from Speed Queen has been outstanding, and we look forward to expanding the presence of Speed Queen in our territory through both new store development and the on-premise laundry sales. The quality of Speed Queen products and services are both industry leading.”
